Guess what I did with my day off? Have fun and play games? NO!!! I decided to do coding projects that are way more complicated than I can handle and ended up with probably the most bloated homepage on neocities dot org....I don't even want to look at it anymore because I know there's so much bloat and redundancies in it raah!!1 Please tell me it works well at least?

On the other hand, it does look very pretty and I'm happy. Almost every page I had is revamped and inside my homepage (i'm super scared of it bogging down loading but i gotta get feedback for that), only the poetry page remains to be redone but... not today! Ha!

Today's song of the day (oh yeah, it's in this super cool new "website" now called applebytes hehe check it out on my "Desktop") is Goodbye Horses! It's one of the few songs that makes me wanna belt out in song and yes, run around like a wild horse!

My new page is out! It's a little nothingburger i came up with at like 3am the other night and then proceeded to work on it just to satisfy a quick whim of mine. It's a little gallery of photos I found funny, and some other cute stuff. Hope all my visitors like it

But do you know what frustrates me most with the coding scene nowadays? Almost everyone is super secretive of their codes/layouts and it makes me sad (btw! not talking about those who sell codes, that's totally fine. I mean people who copied other people's layouts and codes and now gatekeep it for no reason).
When I was a kid the ONLY reason i was able to learn how to code, how to photoshop and edit images and videos was purely because there were soo many people who spent time and effort into creating tutorials for me and others to learn. Nowadays everything cool is gatekept and people have lost that spirit the internet.

Well, I hope you know you can take whatever you want from my code and you don't need to credit me!! have fun!!! literally whatever you see, and if there is anything i can help with LMK(that's short for let me know) by sending me a message on my profile! But do keep in mind I'm not the best coder...

In other news, I asked my friend what bug I would be and she said a ladybug!! hehe

I had such a good idea for a journal entry last night... the issue is i actually spent half my dream writing it (and it was such a good entry too!) so i woke up totally tired and not wanting to write anything! my dreams are so stubborn...

The other chunk of my dreamstate was spent in car crashes (a common motif in my dreams) and rescuing a puppy. He was soo cute! He was big,fluffy and chonky and super scared but he let me hold him and I decided I would keep him safe! I was soo happy, and then I woke up and there was no little puppy... I've heard of people having babies in their dream, and then waking up, but this felt worse.

I'm kind of drained from all the crazy stuff that happened in my dreams, and of course, the fact that I wrote an epic journal entry that I'll never be able to replicate here so I'll keep this real life entry brief! I'm planning on making a cute little stickerbook of a page, where you'll be able to play with stickers, move them around etc. maybe even more stuff but I don't want to overpromise as javascript gives me a headache most of the time i used to love collecting stickers as a kid so, this will be like a little collection as well. How do YOU deal with your wavy/curly hair? If I comb it, it becomes frizzy, if I don't comb it, it gets super tangled It's frustrating!!1

I tried looking up tutorials and whatnot but most tell you to use a dozen of different products with 200 steps and I'll admit I'm way too lazy to spend so much time on my hair. I recently bought a leave-in conditioner for wavy hair specifically to reduce frizz. It worked as well as you imagine(if you imagine that it didn't work at all)...

But it's okay! I love my hair, it's long and pretty and dark with reddish undertones under the sun I try to be grateful for what I have because one day I might not have it, you know? One day I might wish for that long, frizzy, stubborn hair back. Of course, if it's up to me, I'm going to have very long pretty white hair when I'm old.

Did you know one of the first thing ever ordered online was in 1994, and it was a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza, with extra cheese, from the Pizza Hut in Santa Cruz? There's something oddly endearing about that to me. I often wonder how the internet felt back then, when there were only a handful of million users, rather than the billions we have now.

I recently finished Death Note and remembered how much I used to like mangas! Nothing beats a well-paced, interesting story without fillers or gajillion chapters. Not to be an oldie, but I do think mangas back then were better. No, scratch that, not better but the market wasn't as saturated, so you could find quality stuff quicker. There is amazing mangas out there currently, but the barrage of isekai and overused tropes hides the good stuff, don't you think? Because of that, I hadn't been reading much at all...until recently! I'm trying to get back into it. I love all types of genres but for me it's mostly horror and josei (I've been reading josei even back when I was supposed to be reading shoujo hehe ), tragedy, psychological etc.. A super cute one I'm currently reading is Pink Candy Kiss. It's my guilty pleasure because it's so feel good and fluffy GL (for now, at least). And then I'll still reread stuff like Homunculus and Innocent because I'm too comfortable with stuff I like to go out and find new things--maybe that's also how I do life sometimes... Oh yeah, Homunculus is my favorite manga, if you were wondering! I also like girlier stories too like Paradise Kiss, Six Half, Helter Skelter, Bitou Lollipop... Oh no, I just realized I love messed up heroines

Mangas aside, I'm also looking forward to my weekend book club! But nothing much otherwise this week, as I tend to hibernate once it starts getting warmer. I really don't like summer, seriously, I get like summer depression... and I'm already hoping it's either super rainy or goes by quick! The only redeeming thing is that our apartment is in a very cozy area of the city, almost on the edge of it. It overlooks hills and private houses and it's very very quaint in the summer . It's a huge change from living in the center of the city where it's always so hot, loud, and just a lot of concrete.

...still read magazines? I was thinking about it today and how I used to have W.I.T.C.H magazines as a kid in the 2000s. (on a related note, anyone remember W.I.T.C.H ) I don't know how it is anywhere, but in France teen magazines were huge! I remember the W.I.T.C.H ones had quizzes, entire chapters of the comic, cute articles and of course essential tips like what to do when you get kidnapped...a bit depressing that they felt the need to include that in girly magazines

But yeah, magazines! I'm thinking of getting back into collecting them but there's soo many worries I have, like if the prints will be intact or faded, if there's even any good/reliable resellers out there, etc. I guess I'll find out when I seriously start collecting I wish there was a comment section here so I could hear about cool old magazines that I maybe never saw back then.

Website-wise, I'm working on my first shrine! It's going to be dedicated to Hypnospace Outlaw. I already have the main page ready but I want to add a lot of interactable content like the ads being clickable, links taking you places and so on-- what I love about hypnospace is how vast it felt and like u were surfing the web, so I wanna recreate that feeling I also wanna add more to my gaming reviews since I have sooo many reviews on my backloggd, and almost none here.

And my day? Thanks for asking about it! Working from home makes daily life pretty boring but even the mundane things like getting food at the grocery store is pretty fun for me! Especially when the weather is so gloomy like today

Today's song of the day is This Must Be The Place by Talking Heads. To me it's not only one of the most romantic songs out there, but also feels refreshing like orange peels, blue popsicles, dipping your feet in a cold lake on a summer afternoon, (anyone else have strong sensory associations with songs? No...? ) so I thought it fitting for a Saturday in May.

It's a pretty cloudy/rainy day today in my corner of the world and that always reminds me of being a kid and getting my first animal crossing game (wild world for the DSi, btw) because it was raining in the intro with Kapp'n and I thought the game could tell what weather it was outside in the real world, I was like totally surprised hahah! Anyway, I figured it would be a good day to sit down and come up with new pages for the site, but my wrist has been hurting for the past couple of days and I don't know if it's because I've been writing a lot or what, but if you're a hypochondriac like me, you already know where I'm at mentally...(spontaneous wrist combustion in 3..2..1)

My first entry! Well... on this site anyway. I don't think a single visitor will know that I had an older (kind of a little bit popular?) neocities page, that's since been deleted. One thing I regret not importing from there were my old diary entries. Even though they're only 3-4 years old now, they're still nostalgic to me

Anyway! I'm very excited to start writing here again. On my last neocities page it was all about med school, studying, etc. now i'm all graduated with my own apartment so let me tell you one of my newest obsessions: MY NEW AIRFRYER! I never had one before, and it has made cooking so much fun again! We also got a dishwasher installed when we commissioned our kitchen, and it's been a lifesaver. It's only the first month we have it though, so I'm scared for my electricity bill...
